Gabriela Petrova ( Bulgarian Габриела Петрова ., English transcription Gabriela Petrova * 29. June 1992 in Haskovo ) is a Bulgarian triple jumper who gelegtentlich in the long jump is launched.
Athletic career
Gabriela Petrowa gained her first international experience at the Youth World Championships 2009 in Bressanone , where she was eliminated from the qualification with 12.46 m. Then she was at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tampere with 12.29 m tenth. At the Junior World Championships 2010 in Moncton , she was also unable to qualify for the final with 12.74 m, but was fifth at the Junior European Championships in Tallinn the following year with 13.00 m. Two years later she won with 13.91 m at the U23 European Championships in Tampere. In 2014 she reached the final of the European Championships in Zurich , where she was fifth with a width of 14.13 m. In 2015 she won the silver medal behind the Russian Ekaterina Konewa at the European Indoor Championships in Prague with 14.52 m and came fourth at the World Championships in Beijing with 14.66 m in the final .
In 2016 she was eliminated at the European Championships in Amsterdam with 13.46 m in qualification, as well as at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where 13.92 m was not enough for the finals . In 2017 she qualified again for the World Championships in London , where she was eliminated this time with a 13.90 m qualification . In 2018, she finished eleventh at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with 13.91 m and sixth at the European Championships in Berlin with a jump of 14.26 m.
In 2013 and from 2016 to 2018 Petrowa was Bulgarian champion in the triple jump outdoors and in 2017 also in the long jump. In addition, she secured the indoor titles in the long and triple jump in 2013 and 2015.
