Matteo Galvan (born August 24, 1988 in Vicenza ) is an Italian athlete .

career

He started after participating in the Giochi sportivi studenteschi (student sports games) in 2004 with intensive training in athletics at 200 and 400 meters. In 2005 he became Italian champion in his class in the 200 meters. At the U-17 World Championships in Athletics, he was third at the same distance. A year later he reached the semifinals of the U-18 World Athletics Championships. Galvan then won at the 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championships on March 8, 2009 in Turin with the relay 4 x 400 meters, the gold medal . He had previously finished seventh in the individual race. In July of the same year he won the XVI. Mediterranean Games in Pescara won the bronze medal in the 200-meter run.
