Marek Plawgo (born February 25, 1981 in Ruda Śląska ) is a former Polish sprinter and hurdler .

Marek Plawgo's specialty is the 400 meter hurdles . He also competed regularly in international championships for the Polish 4 × 400 m relay . With 48.12 seconds he is the current Polish record holder over 400 m hurdles. The multiple Polish champion won the gold medal in the 400-meter run at the European Indoor Championships in Vienna in 2002 . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he finished sixth in the 400 meter hurdles.

In 2006 he was able to win silver behind the Greek Periklís Iakovákis at the European Championships in Gothenburg in 48.71 seconds . At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, he improved his own national record in the semi-finals and in the final. He won bronze behind Kerron Clement and Félix Sánchez with a final time of 48.12 seconds.

Marek Plawgo is 1.83 m tall and has a competition weight of 72 kg.
