Andrzej Stanisław Badeński (born May 10, 1943 in Warsaw , † September 28, 2008 in Bad Schwalbach ) was a Polish sprinter and Olympic knight.

In 1966, Badeński won silver at the European Championships in Budapest in the 400-meter run silver in 46.2 s behind his compatriot Stanisław Grędziński . The final of the 4 x 400 meter relay took place three days later . In the line-up of Jan Werner , Edmund Borowski , Badeński and Grędziński, the Polish relay team won in the national record time of 3: 04.5 minutes before the two German relay teams. In 1971 Badeński won silver again in the relay at the European Championships in Helsinki .

In 1968 and 1971 he won the 400 meters at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid and Sofia , and in 1970 in Vienna he won the silver medal.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he won the bronze medal in the 400-meter run behind the American Mike Larrabee (gold) and the Trinidadian Wendell Mottley (silver). At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , he came in seventh place in the individual competition and fourth place in the relay. In 1972 in Munich he reached the semifinals over 400 meters and came in fifth place with the Polish relay.

Andrzej Badeński was 1.75 m tall and weighed 68 kg. In 1974 he officially ended his sporting career and has lived in Germany ever since.
