Erich Linnhoff

Erich Linnhoff (born April 23, 1914 in Küstrin ; † December 22, 2006 in Berlin ) was a German athlete who was a successful 400-meter runner in the 1930s . At the European Championships in 1938 he was third in the 400 meter individual race (48.8 s) and European champion with the German 4 x 400 meter relay (3: 13.6 min, together with Hermann Blazejezak , Manfred Bues and Rudolf Harbig ; Erich Linnhoff as third runner).

In 1937 and 1938 Erich Linnhoff became German champion in the 400-meter run. On June 18, 1938, he set a German record in the 400-meter run in Cottbus with 47.3 seconds. In 1938, 1940 and 1941 he was German champion with the 4 x 400 meter relay.

Erich Linnhoff lived in Berlin from 1933 to become a pilot in the Air Force . After the Second World War he owned a shop for drawing supplies and office supplies in Berlin's Knesebeckstraße.

Erich Linnhoff belonged to SC Charlottenburg until 1937 , then to LSV Berlin . In his playing days he was 1.75 m tall and weighed 63 kg.
