Wladimir Alexandrowitsch Krasnov ( Russian Владимир Александрович Краснов , English transcription Vladimir Krasnov ; born August 19, 1990 in Bratsk , Russian SFSR , USSR ) is a Russian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

At the 2007 World Athletics Championships he won the bronze medal.

In 2010 he became Russian champion. At the European Athletics Championships in 2010 he was fourth in the individual competition and then secured the gold medal for the Russian team as the final runner in the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the 2012 Olympic Games , he was fifth with the season.

In March 2013 he won the silver medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden .
