Hans Scheele
Hans-Heinrich Scheele (born December 18, 1908 in Kirchwärder near Hamburg ; † July 23, 1941 ) was a German athlete who was successful in the 400-meter hurdles and as a relay runner in the 1930s . At the European Championships in 1934 he was a double winner: he won the 400 meter hurdles in 53.2 seconds. In the 4 x 400 meter relay he won together with Helmut Hamann , Harry Voigt and Adolf Metzner (Hans Scheele as second runner; finish time 3: 14.1 min.) At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he only started over 400 meter hurdles, but was eliminated in the run-up.
Hans Scheele initially belonged to the sports club SV Altona and from 1936 to the Hamburger SV . During his competition time he was 1.85 m tall and 70 kg.
