Harry Voigt

Harry-Carl Voigt , Dr. med. (Born June 15, 1913 in Berlin ; † October 29, 1986 in Barver , Diepholz district ), was a German athlete who competed in the German 4 x 400 meter relay at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin ( Helmut Hamann , Friedrich von Stülpnagel , Harry Voigt and Rudolf Harbig ) won the bronze medal.

At the European Championships in Turin in 1934 , he won the title in the 4 x 400 meter relay race (Helmut Hamann, Hans Scheele , Harry Voigt and Adolf Metzner ). In 1933 Voigt was German champion over 400 meters, in 1936 runner-up. With the season of the DSC Berlin he won the silver medal in 1934 .

Harry Voigt started for the DSC Berlin . In his playing days he was 1.85 m tall and weighed 76 kg.

Private

Voigt's sister Dora became German champion over 200 meters in 1941 and won the championship title twice with the 4 x 100 meter relay of her club (1938 and 1941). In both disciplines she won several other medals at German championships. She was married to the Olympic champion and world record holder in hammer throw Erwin Blask , who was thus Harry Voigt's brother-in-law.
