Hermann Köhler (athlete)
Hermann Köhler (born January 12, 1950 in Niedermarsberg , Sauerland ) is a former German athlete and Olympian who was a successful 400-meter runner in the 1970s - starting for the Federal Republic of Germany . At European Athletics Championships , he won the gold medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay in 1971 and the silver medal in 1974. In 1971, 1973 and 1974 Köhler was German indoor champion with the 4 x 400 meter relay.
