Alexandr Bratchikov

Alexandr Bratchikov ( Russian Александр Братчиков , English transcription Aleksandr Bratchikov ; born July 21, 1947 ) is a former Soviet sprinter .

Life

At the European Indoor Games in Prague in 1967 he won gold in the 4-by-300-meter relay and silver in the mixed relay, in 1968 in Madrid silver over 400 m and bronze in the 4-by-364-meter relay and in 1969 in Belgrade, silver in the 4-by-390-meter relay.

At the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1969 , he was fifth in the 400 m and won silver with the Soviet team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In 1970 he won the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Vienna both in the individual competition over 400 m and in the 4 x 400 meter relay. The following year at the European Indoor Championships in Sofia, bronze over 400 m and silver in the 4 x 400 m relay followed. At the EC 1971 in Helsinki he was seventh over 400 m.

In 1969 he was Soviet champion over 200 m , in 1969 and 1971 over 400 m.
