Janko Bratanow

Janko Bratanow ( Bulgarian Янко Братанов , English transcription Yanko Bratanov ; born June 10, 1952 in Sliven ) is a former Bulgarian hurdler and sprinter .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1975 in Katowice with the Bulgarian team he won bronze in the 4 x 320 meter relay and in 1976 in Munich gold over 400 m .

He finished sixth over 400 m hurdles at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal and eighth in Moscow in 1980 .

Five times he was Bulgarian champion over 400 m hurdles outdoors (1972–1974, 1978, 1979) and twice over 400 m indoors (1974, 1975).
