Ilija Dzhivondov

Ilija Dschiwondow ( Bulgarian Илия Дживондов , English transcription Iliya Dzhivondov ; born March 6, 1978 in Plovdiv ) is a former Bulgarian sprinter and hurdler .

In 2000 he won gold over 400 m at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Gent . At the Olympic Games in Sydney he started over 400 m and in the 400-meter hurdles , but was eliminated in the preliminary run.

Four times he was Bulgarian champion over 400 m (1999-2002), twice over 400 m hurdles (2001, 2002) and once over 200 m (2003). In the hall he won the national title over 400 m three times (1999, 2001 and 2003) and once over 200 m (2000).
