David Gillick (born July 9, 1983 in Dublin , Ireland ) is an Irish sprinter who has specialized in the 400-meter course and there also the Irish with a best time of 44.77 s (July 4, 2009 in Madrid) Holds national record.

Career

At the beginning of 2007, Gillick ran the 400 meters for a time of 45.91 s at an indoor meeting in Düsseldorf , with which he set Paul McKee's previous national record . In March 2007 he was able to successfully defend the European indoor championship title with another national record of 45.52 s.

On July 4, 2009, Gillick won the meeting in Madrid , which is part of the IAAF World Athletics Tour 2009, with a time of 44.77 s and thus set a new Irish national record.
