Alan Pascoe

Alan Peter Pascoe (born October 11, 1947 in Portsmouth , England ) is a retired British athlete and Olympian.

Life

Alan Pascoe went to the University of London after school, where he graduated with a degree in Education.

He began his career as a track and field athlete in the 110-meter hurdles . After the Olympic Games in 1972 he switched to the 400-meter hurdles . Internationally, he also won medals as a member of the British four-by-four hundred meter relay . He ended his career in 1978 after the Commonwealth Games.

  • 110 meter hurdles: 13.79 s placed in Edinburgh in 1972
  • 400 meter hurdles: 48.59 s placed in Stockholm in 1975

After his career, he started Alan Pascoe Associates, an events and sports marketing firm that he sold in the 1990s. In 1975, Pascoe was honored with the Order of Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
