John Wilson (athlete)
John Wilson ( John Alan Wilson; born October 11, 1948 ) is a former British sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .
At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1971 , he came with the British team in fifth place in the 4-by-400-meter relay .
In 1974 he reached the semi-finals over 400 m at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and won silver with the English 4 x 400 meter relay.
He set his electronically stopped best time of 46.91 s on May 27, 1974 in London , his hand- stopped time of 46.3 s on June 30, 1973 in Leipzig .
