Eckart Berkes

Eckart Berkes (born February 9, 1949 in Worms ; † September 24, 2014 in Leimen ) was a German hurdler who specialized in the 110-meter distance .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1971 in Sofia, he won gold over the 60 meter hurdles . In 1972 he was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Munich .

In 1972 he was German runner-up, in 1973 German champion over 110 meter hurdles. In 1971 he was German runner-up over 50 meter hurdles in the hall.

Eckart Berkes started for USC Mainz .
