Gregory Sedoc (born October 16, 1981 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch hurdler who specializes in the 110-meter distance .

Life

At the European Athletics Championships in Munich in 2002 and at the World Athletics Championships in 2003 in Paris / Saint-Denis, he reached the semi-finals and the quarter-finals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki he was eliminated in the preliminary stages , at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg he was disqualified in the semifinals.

In 2007 he won gold over the 60m hurdles at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham and reached the semifinals at the World Championships in Osaka . He also reached the semifinals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2009 a silver medal in the 60 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Turin was followed by another semi-final at the World Championships in Berlin . At the European Championships in 2010 he did not get past the lead.

In 2011 he was banned for one year because he was not available for doping tests three times in 18 months .

So far he has been national champion over the 110 m hurdles five times (2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009) and once in the long jump (2006), in the hall six times over the 60 m hurdles (2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010).

Gregory Sedoc is 1.79 m tall and weighs 74 kg. He is trained by Ulli Knapp and Marita van Zwol and starts for the AAC Amsterdam. As a sports soldier, he holds the rank of sergeant in the Dutch Army .
