Yuri Nikolayevich Chervanyov
Juri Nikolajewitsch Chervanyov ( Russian Юрий Николаевич Черванёв , English transcription Yuriy Chervanyov ; born January 15, 1958 in Baranavichy ) is a former Soviet hurdler who specialized in the 110-meter distance .
In 1980 he won the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen over 60 m hurdles and was eighth at the Olympic Games in Moscow .
At the Indoor European Championships in 1981 in Grenoble, he was fifth in the 50 m hurdles, and at the Indoor European Championships in 1982 in Milan he did not reach the finish in the 60 m hurdles.
In 1981 he became the Soviet champion over 110 m hurdles outdoors, in 1980 over 60 m hurdles indoors.
