Romuald Giegiel

Romuald Giegiel (born May 8, 1957 ) is a former Polish hurdler who specialized in the 110-meter distance .

Athletic career

In 1978 he was seventh at the European Athletics Championships in Prague .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships he was fifth in the 60 m hurdles in 1979 in Vienna and won silver in 1980 in Sindelfingen .

In 1982 he was sixth at the European Championships in Athens . A sixth place in the 60 m hurdles at the European Indoor Championships 1983 in Budapest was followed by a victory in the same discipline at the 1984 European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg. At the 1986 European Indoor Championships in Madrid, he was sixth in the 60 m hurdles.

Seven times he was Polish champion over 110 m hurdles outdoors (1978, 1981-1986) and five times over 60 m hurdles indoors (1979, 1983-1986).
