New Albin is a small town (with the status "City" ) in Allamakee County in the far northeast of the US -amerikanischen state of Iowa . At the 2010 census , New Albin had 522 residents.
Location and traffic
New Albin lies at 43 ° 29'49 "north latitude and 91 ° 17'14" west longitude and extends over 0.6 km², which consists exclusively of land. New Albin is the northeasternmost town of Iowa and is located on the west bank of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Wisconsin . The northern outskirts are also the border with Minnesota .
Neighboring towns are Reno in Minnesota (12.2 km north), Eitzen (16.2 km west) and Lansing (18.4 km south). The village of Victory on the opposite bank of the Mississippi can only be reached by road via a detour of 33.4 km via Lansing.
