Alina Janivna Fyodorova ( Ukrainian Аліна Янівна Фьодорова , English transcription Alina Fyodorova; born July 31, 1989 in Knjaschytschi , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian heptathlete .
Athletic career
In 2007 Alina Feodorova took part for the first time in a major international event, the Junior European Championships in Kaunas , where she could not finish the competition. In 2008 she was at the Junior World Championships 18. 2011 she finished sixth at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava . She qualified for the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, and was there 21st. 2012 she finished thirteenth at the European Championships in Helsinki . At the 2013 European Indoor Championships she was eighth. In 2014 she achieved her international breakthrough when she won the bronze medal at the World Indoor Championships in Sopot with 4724 points. She also took part in the European Championships in Zurich , but this time could not finish the competition. In 2015 she was seventh at the European Indoor Championships and 17th at the World Championships in Beijing . At the World Indoor Championships in Portland , she was able to improve her best performance and again won the bronze medal. She also qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she finished 28th .
