Nikoleta Kyriakopoulou ( Greek Νικολέτα Κυριακοπούλου ; born March 21, 1986 in Athens ) is a Greek pole vaulter .

Athletic career

In 2008, she retired from the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Valencia and the Olympic Games in Beijing in qualification.

In 2009 she won the Mediterranean Games , but again did not get past the first round at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin . The following year she remained in the finals of the 2010 Indoor World Championships in Doha without a valid attempt and just missed the finals at the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona . In 2011 she was ninth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Paris and eighth at the World Championships in Daegu .

In 2012 she won bronze at the European Championships in Helsinki and was eliminated from the preliminary round at the Olympic Games in London .

The following year she did not get beyond the qualification at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and the World Cup in Moscow . In 2014 she was twelfth at the World Indoor Championships in Sopot and seventh at the European Championships in Zurich .

In 2015 she finished fifth at the European Indoor Championships in Prague and took bronze at the World Championships in Beijing with 4.80 m behind Yarisley Silva (4.90 m) and Fabiana Murer (4.85 m).

At the European Athletics Championships 2018 in Berlin, she finished second behind her compatriot Ekaterini Stefanidi in August .
