Borja Vivas

Borja Vivas ( Borja Vivas Jiménez; born May 26, 1984 in Málaga ) is a Spanish shot putter .

At the Ibero-American Championships he won silver in 2006 and gold in 2008. In 2009 he was eliminated from the qualification at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Turin and at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin . At the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona in 2010 , he was tenth. In 2011 he failed at the European Indoor Championships in Paris and at the World Championships in Daegu in the first round.

In 2012, a preliminary round at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Istanbul was followed by a seventh place at the European Championships in Helsinki . At the Olympic Games in London he did not get past the first round. In 2013 he was eliminated from qualifying at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and at the World Cup in Moscow and won the Mediterranean Games . The following year he just missed the finals of the 2014 Indoor World Championships in Sopot and won silver at the European Championships in Zurich . In 2015 he finished fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Prague and failed in the first round at the World Championships in Beijing .

He was six times Spanish champion (2010-2015) and seven times Spanish indoor champion (2009-2015).
