Location of the municipality

Alcobendas is a suburb of Madrid located about 13 kilometers north of the Spanish capital. It has 117,040 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) and is located at an altitude of 667 meters; the area is 44 km². The development has grown together with that of the neighboring city of San Sebastián de los Reyes .

Description: The silver coat of arms has a green, curved, half-height top with a silver fort with a red open passage and two windows on which three tinned towers with a red window each rise, the middle one is the higher, split. A red lily end cross floats in front and a black eagle in the back .

traffic

Since 2001 Alcobendas has been connected to Madrid by the suburban railway Cercanías (line C-1 to Madrid-Atocha and Alcalá de Henares ) and by the motorway. In 2007, line 10 of the Madrid Metro was also extended here.
