Lozoya refers to a place and a municipality ( municipio ) with 581 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in the northwest of the autonomous community of Madrid in central Spain .
location
The place Lozoya is located at an altitude of about 1120 meters above sea level. d. M. on the upper reaches of the river of the same name , which is dammed and forms the Pinilla reservoir. The distance to the capital Madrid to the south is about 100 kilometers (driving distance).
