Henrik Ingebrigtsen (born February 24, 1991 in Sandnes ) is a Norwegian 1500 to 5000 meter runner .

Ingebrigtsen had success in the youth field mainly at the European championships in cross-country running, when he came second in 2008 and third in the U20 team classification in 2009. In 2011 he won the U23 team competition with the Norwegian team. In between, he participated in the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona, ​​where he was eliminated in advance. At the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012 , Ingebrigtsen surprisingly won the European title after a very slow race in 3: 46.20 minutes ahead of the Frenchman Florian Carvalho . In London he reached the finals at the Olympic Games , where he set a new national record as fifth and best European in 3: 35.43 minutes.

At the European Championships in Amsterdam in 2016 , he won the bronze medal over 1500 meters when his brother Filip won and was fourth over 5000 meters. Two years later, at the 2018 European Championships in Berlin , he finished fourth in the 1500 meters and won the silver medal in the 5000 meters. His brother Jakob won both races .

In 2020 Ingebrigtsen started in the Bislett Games, which were held as Impossible Games because of the Covid-19 pandemic, in a long- distance duel between team “Ingebrigtsen” and team “Cheruiyot”, with the 2000-meter run being held in Oslo and Nairobi in parallel. With 4: 53.72 minutes he crossed the finish line behind his brother Jakob who had set the European record and ahead of his brother Filip .

Ingebrigtsen has a competition weight of 69 kg with a height of 1.80 m.
