Jens-Peter Herold (born June 2, 1965 in Neuruppin ) is a former German athlete who won the bronze medal in the 1,500 meter run for the GDR at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul , for which he was awarded the Bronze Patriotic Order of Merit .

Career

Jens-Peter Herold started for ASK Vorwärts Potsdam (trainer: Bernd Dießner ), after the end of the GDR for SC Neubrandenburg and SC Charlottenburg . With a height of 1.76 m, he had a competition weight of 64 kg. Jens-Peter Herold has lived in Neuruppin since the end of his sports career and works as a trainer.
