Juan Carlos Higuero
Juan Carlos Higuero (born August 3, 1978 in Aranda de Duero , Burgos province ) is a Spanish medium and long-distance runner .
The Olympic eighth in Sydney 2000 in the 1500 meter run was also regularly in the finals at world championships. Indoors he was ninth in 2001 in Lisbon and eighth in 2003 in Birmingham , outdoors he was eleventh in 2003 in Paris and sixth in Helsinki in 2005 .
Higuero won his medals at European Championships. In the hall he won silver in 2002 and 2005. At the 2006 European Championships , he won bronze. On the last day of the European Championships, he started in the 5000 meter run for the first time and again won bronze.
He won gold in 2007 at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham over 1500 meters ahead of his compatriots Sergio Gallardo and Arturo Casado . At the World Indoor Championships in Valencia in 2008 , he won bronze over 1500 meters, the only medal for the hosts.
In March 2013 he won the silver medal in the 3,000 meter run at the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden .
With a height of 1.80 m, his competition weight is 60 kg.
