David Strand

David Strang ( David Maxwell Strang ; born December 13, 1968 in Girvan according to IAAF) is a former British middle-distance runner .

At the Commonwealth Games in Auckland in 1990 , he was eliminated over 800 m in the semifinals and won silver with the Scottish team in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 1993 he won silver in the 1500 m at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Toronto . Over the same distance he won the following year at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Paris and was each twelfth at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki and the Commonwealth Games in Victoria .

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 and at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he was eliminated over 800 m in each run.
