1000 meter run

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1000-meter run is a discipline in athletics . In the open-air competition, you have to run two and a half stadium laps on a 400-meter track. The start takes place at the 200 meter point, i.e. before the curve to the home straight while standing (high start) from a curved starting line ( involute ). However, the 1000-meter run is rarely run at the large open-air sports festivals for senior citizens, but more often at open-air competitions for young people, schoolchildren and senior citizens in the hall. With the 800-meter run and 1500-meter run, it is one of the medium-distance races .
