Ari Suhonen

Ari Suhonen (born December 19, 1965 in Porvoo ) is a former Finnish middle-distance runner .

He won a total of 22 national championship titles outdoors and indoors. Between 1985 and 1993 he was the Finnish champion nine times in a row in the 800-meter run alone . He celebrated his greatest international successes at the European Indoor Athletics Championships. He won the bronze medal over 800 m in Liévin in 1987 and in the 1,500-meter run he won the title in Budapest in 1988 . He also won the 800-meter run at the 1989 Universiade in Duisburg.

Ari Suhonen is 1.85 m tall and had a competition weight of 68 kg.
