Mateo Cañellas

Mateo Cañellas ( Mateo Cañellas Martorell ; born April 27, 1972 ) is a former Spanish middle -distance runner who specialized in the 1,500 meter distance .

In 1995 he won silver at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Barcelona and was eliminated from the preliminary stages at the World Championships in Gothenburg . In 1996 he won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Stockholm .

In 1996 he became Spanish indoor champion.
