Hauke ​​Fuhlbrügge (born March 21, 1966 in Friedrichroda ) is a former German athlete who was one of the world's top 1,500 meters in the 1990s . His greatest achievement was third place at the 1991 World Championships . Until 1990 he started for the GDR .

Hauke ​​Fuhlbrügge belonged to the SC Turbine Erfurt (later renamed TSV Erfurt ) and trained with Dieter Hermann . In his playing days he was 1.80 m tall and weighed 65 kg.

Fuhlbrügge's biggest competitor on the tartan track was Jens-Peter Herold . Fuhlbrügge achieved his greatest coup by winning the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo , when he sprinted over the Herald, who was already jubilant about his third place shortly before the finish.
