Swjatlana Michajlauna Kudselitsch ( Belarusian Святлана Міхайлаўна Кудзеліч , English transcription Sviatlana Kudzelich ; born May 7, 1987 in Pinsk , Belarusian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian long-distance and obstacle runner .

Athletic career

Her first international championships were the 2005 European Junior Championships in Kaunas , where she won the bronze medal over 5000 meters with a new personal best. In 2006 she became national junior champion over 5000 m . She also took part in the Junior World Championships in Beijing . Over 1500 meters, she was eliminated in the preliminary round and took twelfth place over 5000 meters. At the U23 European Championships in 2009 , she won the silver medal over this route and finished fifth over 10,000 meters. In 2010 she was eighth over 10,000 m at the European Championships in Barcelona .

In 2012 she took part in the obstacle course at the European Championships in Helsinki , but was disqualified there in the preliminary run. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 , she was eliminated over 3000 m obstacle in the preliminary run. Two years later, she barely missed a medal in fourth at the European Championships in Zurich . In 2015 she celebrated her greatest success when she won the silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in Prague over 3000 meters. At the World Championships in Beijing, she was eliminated in the preliminary round . At the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland , she finished eleventh over 3000 meters. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was eliminated again in the preliminary round .

At the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade 2017, she was eliminated over 3000 meters in the qualifying round.
