Nooralotta Maria Neziri (born November 9, 1992 Turku ) is a Finnish athlete who specializes in the 100-meter hurdles .

Athletic career

In 2009 Nooralotta Neziri took part in the Youth World Championships in Bressanone , where she finished fifth in the final, as well as at the Junior World Championships in Moncton the following year . In 2011 she won the gold medal at the 2011 European Junior Athletics Championships . In 2012 she took part in the European Championships in Helsinki , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round. Over 60 m hurdles she took eighth place at the 2013 European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg . During the outdoor season she won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships and qualified for the World Championships in Moscow , where she was eliminated in the semifinals with a new Finnish record of 13.04s.

In 2014 she failed in the preliminary round of the World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland . She was also eliminated in the first round at the European Championships in Zurich . In addition, she was also part of the Finnish 4 x 100 meter relay, with which she was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2015 she took sixth place in the final of the European Indoor Championships in Prague . At the 2015 World Championships in Beijing , she made it to the semifinals with a new record . In 2016 she reached the semifinals at the European Championships in Amsterdam , as well as at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro a few weeks later.

She is a four-time Finnish champion. Neziri's father is of Macedonian-Albanian origin.
