Cristina Ioana Bujin (born April 12, 1988 in Constanța ) is a Romanian athlete .

Athletic career

Bujin finished fifth in the long jump at the 2003 World Youth Championships in Sherbrooke, Canada . At the Junior World Championships in 2004 , she retired in the long jump in qualification and took tenth place in the triple jump . She was able to win the bronze medal at the World Youth Championships in Marrakech in 2005 and also won the silver medal in the triple jump at the European Junior Championships in Kaunas and was eliminated again in the qualification in the long jump. From this point on, Bujin only took part in triple jump competitions internationally. She finished sixth at the 2006 Junior World Championships and again won bronze at the 2007 European Junior Championships in Hengelo . She also qualified for the European Indoor Championships and was eliminated there in the qualification, as well as at the 2008 Indoor World Championships in Valencia .

While she was eliminated from the qualification at the European Indoor Championships in 2009, Bujin reached seventh place at the World Championships in Berlin with 14.26 m. She also won the silver medal at the U23 European Championships . In 2011 she finished fifth at the European Indoor Championships in Paris and won the bronze medal at the Universiade in Shenzhen . In 2012 she took part in the World Indoor Championships, the European Championships and the 2012 Olympic Games in London and was eliminated from the qualification at all championships. In 2013 she was eliminated from the qualification at the European Indoor Championships , as well as at the 2014 European Championships . In 2015 she finished sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Prague and was eliminated again in the qualification at the World Championships in Beijing . In 2016 she qualified again for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, but could not reach the final there again.

In 2017 she took part in the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade for the sixth time , but could not reach the final there.

Bujin was Romanian triple jump indoor champion in 2006 and long jump in 2008. In 2009 she won the state championship in the triple jump.
