Justyna Kasprzycka (born August 20, 1987 in Głubczyce ) is a former Polish athlete who specialized in the high jump .

Athletic career

At the U23 European Championships in Debrecen in 2007 and in Kaunas in 2009 , Kasprzycka finished ninth in the high jump. In 2013 she was Polish champion and eighth at the Universiade in Kazan and sixth at the World Championships in Moscow . In addition, she won the silver medal behind the French Melanie Melfort at the Jeux de la Francophonie in Nice . At the World Indoor Championships in 2014 in Sopot, Poland, she finished fourth. At the end of May she set the Polish outdoor record of Kamila Lićwinko as runner-up at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene with a jumped height of 1.99 m . She finished fourth at the European Championships in Zurich . In 2015, she finished sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Prague . Because of an Achilles tendon injury in the summer, she missed participation in the World Championships in Beijing .

After returning to the competition in 2017, Kasprzycka was never able to build on her old achievements and no longer jumped higher than 1.75 m. She therefore ended her competitive sports career in September 2019.
