Hanna Oleksandriwna Plotizyna ( Ukrainian Ганна Олександрівна Плотіцина , English transcription Hanna Plotitsyna; born January 1, 1987 ) is a Ukrainian hurdler who specializes in the 100-meter distance .

Athletic career

Hanna Plotizyna played her first competitions in international championships at the Junior World Championships in Beijing in 2006 , where she reached the semifinals and finished seventh with the 4 x 400 meter relay. In 2009 she was eliminated over 100 meters in the preliminary round of the U23 European Championships and won the bronze medal with the relay. At the European Indoor Championships in Prague she was eliminated in the 60-meter hurdles semifinals and took fourth place at the World Student Games in Kazan . At the World Championships in Moscow , she was eliminated in the preliminary round.

In 2014 she was eliminated again in the preliminary round of the World Indoor Championships . In 2015 she took eighth place in the final of the European Indoor Championships in Prague . At the 2015 World Championships in Beijing , she was eliminated in the preliminary round . In 2016 she did not qualify for a final at the World Indoor Championships and made it to the semifinals at the European Championships in Amsterdam . At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was eliminated in the first round a few weeks later. At the 2017 European Indoor Championships , she just barely missed a medal in fourth.

So far she has been Ukrainian outdoor champion five times and indoor champion seven times.
