In her youth and junior career, Solomon was multiple British champions and also represented her club at various European club championships. In 2012 she finished fifth in the British Olympic Games qualifying round. In 2014 Serita Solomon represented the United Kingdom at the European Team Championships in Braunschweig and finished eighth. She also secured a starting place for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , where she reached the semifinals. In 2015 she won the bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships in Prague . She improved her best time three times to 7.93 s. Furthermore, she represented her country again at the European Team Championships and was again eighth. In 2016, she reached the finals at the World Indoor Championships in Portland , where she finished seventh. She also qualified for the European Championships in Amsterdam , but was eliminated there in the first round.
