Paulina Renata Guba (born May 14, 1991 in Otwock ) is a Polish shot putter .

Athletic career

In 2009 Paulina Guba finished fourth at the Junior European Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia . A year later, she finished fifth at the 2010 Junior World Championships . At the U23 European Championships in 2011 , she finished fourth again. In 2012 she took part in the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul , where she was eliminated in qualification. At the European Championships in Helsinki in July, a tenth place followed in the final. In 2013 she came in fifth at the 2013 U23 European Championships .

In 2015 she was fifth at the European Indoor Championships . She won her first medal at the student games in Gwangju, Korea . Furthermore, she finished eleventh in the final of the 2015 World Championships in Beijing . At the 2016 European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam , she finished eleventh. At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was eliminated in qualification .

In 2017, Guba qualified for the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade , where she finished sixth. In June 2017 she improved her outdoor record to over 18 meters and qualified for the World Championships in London . There she missed the final with a pushed 17.52 m . A few weeks later she won the bronze medal at the Student World Games in Taipei .

So far she has been five times Polish champion outdoors and three times indoors.
