The 2005 Memorial Cup was the 87th edition of the tournament of the same name . Participating teams were the champions of their respective leagues, the Rimouski Océanic ( Québec Major Junior Hockey League ) and the Kelowna Rockets ( Western Hockey League ). Champions of the Ontario Hockey League and automatically qualified as hosts were the London Knights . The fourth team to be invited was the Ottawa 67’s , who lost to the London Knights in the OHL final. The tournament was held May 21-29 at the John Labatt Center in London , Ontario . The tournament was televised nationwide on Rogers Sportsnet in Canada .

The London Knights won their first Memorial Cup by beating the Rimouski Océanic in the final.
