Because three teams were equal on points, the following rules were used to determine the final placements: First, the game against the last team was taken out of the ranking for all three teams. Then the teams were sorted according to their goal quotient, that is, according to the proportion of goals scored in relation to the total of goals scored and goals conceded. In this evaluation, Halifax and Guelph were tied with a quotient of 7/13 (~ 0.54), so a direct comparison was used. The places two and three were then also determined by direct comparison, so that Guelph reached second place and thus received home rights in the semifinals.
