The Memorial Cup 2016 was the 98th edition of the tournament of the same name , the final tournament of the Canadian Hockey League . Participating teams were the champions of their respective leagues, the London Knights ( Ontario Hockey League ), the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies ( Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec ) and the Brandon Wheat Kings ( Western Hockey League ). The Red Deer Rebels from the Western Hockey League were automatically qualified as hosts. The tournament was held May 20-29 at the ENMAX Centrium in Red Deer , Alberta .
The London Knights won their second Memorial Cup with their final victory over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
