Career

Martin began his career in his native Ontario in 1992. He played a total of four years for the Windsor Spitfires in the OHL . In the 1995 NHL Entry Draft , the Canadian was voted 65th in the third round by the New York Rangers .

For the 1996/97 season he signed his first professional contract and played for the Rangers farm team , the Binghamton Rangers in the AHL . Even when the team became the Hartford Wolf Pack a year later , he was part of the squad. Then he switched to the IHL . In the two years Martin played for the Fort Wayne Komets and the Michigan K-Wings . The next three seasons he was then active for the Saint John Flames in the AHL. Here he was able to celebrate the championship in 2001 after a successful season.

Amur Khabarovsk from the Russian Super League was his first European station in the 2003/04 season . The defender then signed a one-year contract with the Iserlohn Roosters in the DEL . Here he scored a goal and prepared three more hits. After a year in Germany , he moved to the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen for the Frederikshavn White Hawks . Here, in contrast to his previous positions in Europe, he took on the role of the offensive defender and also recorded over 100 penalty minutes in each of his three years.

After four years in Denmark, Martin moved to the EC VSV in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League for the 2009/10 season .
