Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award
The Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award is an ice hockey trophy in the American Hockey League . It has been awarded annually since 1978 to the player who exemplifies the most exemplary sportiness, but also determination and dedication. Both players and media representatives from the AHL environment make the choice.
The trophy was named after Fred T. Hunt , who won the Calder Cup six times as player and general manager of the Buffalo Bisons . The original Hunt Trophy was donated by the Buffalo Sabers .
