Eric Healey (born January 20, 1975 in Hull , Massachusetts ) is a former American ice hockey player , who last played at EHC Black Wings Linz in the Austrian ice hockey league .
Career
The 1.80 m tall winger began his career in the team of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association before he moved to the Saint John Flames in the American Hockey League in 1998 .
In 2003 he won the Fred T. Hunt Memorial Award in the AHL . Until 2004, the left-handed player played for various teams in the American Hockey League, moving to the German Ice Hockey League for the Adler Mannheim , for which he was on the ice for a season. For the 2005/06 season Healy signed a contract with the organization of the Boston Bruins , for which he completed his only two NHL missions this season . He spent most of his time with the Providence Bruins , the Boston franchise AHL farm team . Via the Springfield Falcons , he came to the new AHL franchise Lake Erie Monsters in 2007 , before moving to Mora IK in the second-rate Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2008/09 season . In September 2009 he was signed by the EC Graz 99ers and played the following season for the first time in the Austrian ice hockey league . For the 2010/11 season, Black Wings Linz have secured the services of the top scorer of the regular 2009/10 season.
Healey could not confirm the performance of the previous year in Linz, whereupon the Black Wings separated from the striker after 19 games. He then ended his career as a professional player.
