Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award
The Aldege "Baz" Bastien Award is an ice hockey trophy of the American Hockey League (AHL), which is given annually to the best goalkeeper of the season.
The trophy is named after Aldege "Baz" Bastien , who was in goal for the Pittsburgh Hornets in the American Hockey League from 1945 to 1949 . He later became the team's coach and general manager, leading it to win the Calder Cup in 1967 . In 1983, Bastien, manager of the NHL team Pittsburgh Penguins , died in 1983 , which is why this award bore his name a year later.
