Career

# 84 Corey Locke at Bully against the Rochester Americans , April 2007

Locke started his career with the Ottawa 67’s from the OHL . The NHL rights to him owned the Montréal Canadiens , who selected him in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft in 113th place in the fourth round. During his time in the OHL, he won the Red Tilson Trophy (OHL Award for Outstanding Player of the Season) two years in a row. In the 2002/03 season he was also top scorer of the entire CHL with 151 collected points (63 goals, 88 assists ).

For the 2004/05 season , the Canadiens brought him to their farm team , the Hamilton Bulldogs. He quickly established himself there and won the Calder Cup with the Bulldogs in his third AHL year . Locke was the Bulldogs' top scorer and an important building block for the team's success.

On January 8, 2008 Locke made his debut in the NHL, but returned to Hamilton after that one game . A short time later he was appointed to the Canadian All-Stars squad for the AHL All-Star Classic 2008 and scored one goal and two assists in the AHL's All-Star Game . In July 2010, he joined the Ottawa Senators .

From January 2013 he was under contract with the Eisbären Berlin and won the German championship with the Eisbären . He was then signed by the Chicago Wolves , who played for until 2014. In October 2014 Locke moved to the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL).

From November 2015 Locke played at EHC Visp in the Swiss National League B before moving to EC VSV in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League (EBEL) for the 2016/17 season. The Villacher did not reach the playoff, but Locke was able to play his way up to the top scorer and most successful assistant of the EBEL.

After the 2016/17 season, the VSV could not agree on a contract extension with Locke, so he moved to EHC Linz .
