Duncan Milroy (born February 8, 1983 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Krefeld Pinguine from the German Ice Hockey League since November 2010 .
Career
Duncan Milroy began his career as a hockey player with the Swift Current Broncos from the Western Hockey League , for which he played from 1998 to 2001 for a total of three years. Then the winger was selected during the NHL Entry Draft 2001 in the second round as a total of 37th player by the Montréal Canadiens . The next two years, however, the right-handed shooter was still under contract in the WHL, where he went on the ice for Kootenay Ice .
In the summer of 2003, the Canadian was appointed to the roster of the Hamilton Bulldogs from the American Hockey League . The winger played for the Canadiens farm team for a total of five years and scored 179 points, including 75 goals, in 346 AHL games. In the 2006/07 season , Milroy won the Calder Cup with the Bulldogs . In the same season he made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Montréal Canadiens, scoring an assist for his team in five games .
From July 2008 to July 2009 Milroy was under contract at ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League , but then moved back to North America, where he accepted a contract in the Minnesota Wild franchise . But he played the entire 2009/10 season with the Houston Eros in the AHL and scored 36 points in 74 games. For the 2010/11 season he signed a contract with the Czech club BK Mladá Boleslav , which he left after 20 games and signed a contract with the Krefeld Penguins from the German Ice Hockey League in November 2010 .
