In January 2013 Tenute was signed by the Hamilton Bulldogs from the American Hockey League and was employed there until the end of the 2012/13 season . He then returned to Europe for the 2013/14 season and was hired by the Swedish second division team Malmö Redhawks . There the Canadian scored both the most scorer points and assists in his first year within the league, so that he received a two-year contract extension in February 2014.
